Following the throw down, there will be a chance to turn sketches into prints with our fabulous printing press, Kitty.

Join us for our ever popular weekly art class aimed at those who are beginning their artistic journey, or for those who would like to learn the fundamental techniques of painting and drawing.

These tutor led group sessions are a gentle introduction to drawing and painting designed to ignite your creativity and develop fundamental skills. Through step-by-step guidance and hands on exercises, you’ll explore basic techniques such as line, shape, value, and perspective. Dive into the world of colour theory, composition, and proportion, while discovering your unique style along the way. Whether you are a complete novice or looking to refresh your skills, these classes provide a supportive environment to unleash your artistic potential.

Free to Patreons, or £5 per session (£5.50 if booked online) to everyone else, the Wednesday seminar is an open ended course that focuses on theory and art history ideas. It offers a deeper dive into understanding why artists make the work they do and the kind of underpinning analysis that helps us understand our own work. It is currently delivered mostly on Zoom for Patreon supporters and includes monthly gallery visits or art days out for those who would like to join in. Sessions are also generally available on pay as you attend basis to non patrons - group size and session length varies.
